VETERINARY AWARENESS MONTH
Today we are featuring Kate Bartels RVN BSc GEOL/GIS
'I have been working in, and around veterinary practice for over 30 years. I started at a charity rescue centre, and have worked though many different roles within the veterinary team, both overseas and throughout the UK. I have been a co-owner, and now practice manager of Castle Vets since 2005.
I enjoy the variety the role allows, and have worked close up and personal to some interesting animals over the years, probably the most notable would be Gorillas and Kangaroos, but I have worked with many exotic, domestic, wild and livestock species over the years.
I have been involved for many years in training and in the examining of nurses, and this is is a rewarding part of the job.
The role of the nurse is changing and nurses are finally being recognised as a professionals in their own right, its been a long time coming!
We can offer a lot to our clients and their pets, and we often develop very strong bonds with our patients.
Nursing appointments- If you would like to make an appointment with our nurses we would be more than happy to oblige! We can offer anything from head to tail - Dental Check ups and advice, to Anal Gland treatments, and most things in between! We look forward to seeing you soon. Kate Bartels'
